What was I thinking???

So this weekend I decided it would be fun to decorate my roommate Suzie's room. She has a fairly big room for an apartment but it is stuffed full of furniture junk and clothes. She might be considered a pack rat. I wanted it to be cute with walking space. Also organized and safe. (she trips a lot over things) Here are the before pictures....

Here are some pictures during the rearranging.

We even had to move our project to the hall.

This is her getting clothes ready for the DI. I made her throw away at least ten pants ten shirts ten sweatshirts/jackets and five skirt. We haven't even talked about the shoes yet. I say she should at least throw away twenty pairs.

The room is on hold right now. We are going to IKEA on Thursday to buy some pictures. Once it is all done I will post more pictures.

Randomly I do enjoy this. I wont mention names but I have done this before with other friends rooms. One I might add took seven hours and at least eleven garbage bags. Love you KT!! :)

****She doesn't read my blog so she will have no idea I showed the world her before pictures. :)

Only in California

Okay so all I hear from people in Utah is they are so ready for the snow to be gone.  In California it is a whole different story.  For FHE they decide to take a bunch of trucks to the Sierras and pick up some snow.  I wish I had my camera. However this is a picture from my phone. They really did it. They had snowball fights with two huge piles of snow in our church parking lot.

Sorry I wish I had better pictures.

My love for fog

My love for fog all started on a cold winter night. :) Some friends and I drove up to the big houses on the hill at the point of the mountain/Draper area. We got out and walked in a few unfinished ones. One of the houses had a deck right on the side of the mountain where you could see the whole Salt Lake Valley on a normal day. All we could see though was fog or what we called was the top of the clouds. It was so pretty. It made us want to run and jump into them. (mind you it was a small cliff so we didnt) Even since then I have loved fog and I always take pictures of it.

This is the fog we saw when we slept at the lighthouse. At night there is a lot more.

This is the store on a random foggy day.

Driving in to Cedar Fort.

Thank you Chris and Courtney for giving me an excuse to come home.

I just got back from a quick but super fun trip to Utah. Leah Amy and I drove there on Thursday and came back Sunday. Leah is in my singles ward and Amy works with me. They are sisters and for sure Cali girls. Our adventures in Utah started with not being able to pull up the drive because of the snow. Good old Cedar Fort doesn't plow the streets. We were luck enough to have it start snowing though and got to play in it for a little while.

Friday I got to go skiing with my family in Utah. It was so much fun. It was a super nice day.

That night I got to go to the reception. Courtney and Chris looked wonderful and so happy together. The decorations were so adorable. I also loved seeing everyone there that I got to see. It was a little Willey reunion! Afterwards we stopped at Chilis to eat dessert.

Saturday I was able to go to lunch with Tanya and Hannah. After I did some shopping. I got to stop and see Katie. Then played with the family and friends all night. Danica and Brit came and played. Sunday we woke up and drove home. Sorry I should take more pictures.

IN MEMORY OF AN AMAZING MAN

Prophetic Passing

I imagine he's running to Marjorie now,
Yes, running, not waving his cane.
I see him embracing his father and mother
While they keep repeating his name.

I see him now meeting his forebears,
Brother Brigham and Joseph are there.
Sweet reunion of prophets, united by service
That only such noble men share.

I see him embraced by the Savior
While Father says, "Good and well done.
So faithful in stalwart endurance, I welcome
My noble, most excellent son."

I then hear the ripples of laughter
As he says the reception's just fine,
But he hopes that he'll get an assignment or two
Since there's no need to waste any time.

I can hear his clear voice in the stillness
At the close of this sweet Sabbath day,
Have faith and move forward ? there's work to be done.
President Hinckley would want it that way.
